Run, Jump, Throw is a nationally recognized event through USA Track and Field, where kids have the opportunity to participate in a variety track and field of activities and featuring Olympians to meet the kids and help instruct. Volunteers will help as station hosts, with topics like training, running, and throwing events, within a 10-station rotation for 150+ kids total. Volunteers will also assist with event set up and tear down and most of all, have fun! No athletic experience needed.
Volunteers should meet at the Les Schwab Sports Park to volunteer for the shift. Parking is available at the fields and at the Bob Keefer Center.
Be sure to dress for the forecasted weather and bring your own full refillable water bottle. We will have additional water/refreshments and light snacks available for volunteers.
This event can accommodate volunteers who need to be seated or need a light activity level. Please let us know in your response notes or contact the Volunteer Coordinator (see below) if you would like to be placed in a seated or light activity role so that we may plan accordingly.
